  • No, they only made it to the playoffs in the first place because the defense drug that offense kicking and screaming into it. If you hadn't noticed the Lions offense hadn't done much all year - so I don't know why you'd have expected them to change their colors come playoff time. Lions averaged 20 points a game, they scored 20.

Lions had a 3 score lead late in the 3rd quarter and they had only allowed 3 consecutive scores just once all year (fukn Tom Brady). That defense has that scenario they bring that game home 9 out of 10 times - no matter if Jabustus Russell was the QB. It wasn't that they lost, it was how they lost. Every time they had DAL dead to rights they'd do something stupid and give them new life.

If Stafford scores 30+, that should be a BONUS, not a necessity because as we have seen the odds simply aren't in your favor if your defense is so bad you HAVE to score 30.

      • How can you make sense of that drivel?
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

          • Ravens assistant Joe Cullen interviewed for UMass job

interviewed over the weekend for the vacant job at the University of Massachusetts.

Cullen played at UMass, and might be a good fit to replace the departed Mark Whipple there if he wants to work at the college level.

Though he is popularly known as the guy who was arrested without pantsget his life back in order, as detailed in a recent Sports Illustrated profile, and by all accounts has done a good job of it.

On September 2, 2017, Armbrister was waived by the Lions and was signed to the practice squad the next day.[4][5] He was promoted to the active roster on September 30, 2017.[6] He was waived on October 11, 2017 and was re-signed to the practice squad.[7] He was released on November 29, 2017, but re-signed two days later.
He was signed this morning to a 2 year contract but was released before lunchtime only to be resigned 15 minutes later.

The Saints placed offensive lineman Michael Ola on injured reserve after he suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's win over the Buccaneers, Nick Underhill of the Advocate reports. The team signed offensive tackle Derek Newton to take his place on the roster.

Ola provided depth and was filling in as the sixth offensive lineman, a role typically held by Jermon Bushrod when everyone is healthy.
