As you shop this holiday season, please remember to use the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold and the commission increases based on the number of items sold in a month. (So even buying a 99 cent MP3 helps!) Bonus this year: Amazon has announced FREE SHIPPING through the holidays!!

Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. If you create a wedding or baby registry, the forum earns $3. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.

Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps pays the operating costs of this forum which continue to go up as our commissions have gone down. Thank you for your support and happy holidays!! --Deborah

Kevin Garnett to work with Pistons' Drummond, Ellenson
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

By the time he left, the Knicks had reloaded with Reed, Frazier, Bradley, etc, etc.

              • Oscar was also a guy every Royal on his team to a man said they couldn’t stand. Even his opponents said they’d never want to play with him, judging by how he treated his teammates.

Genius basketball player and really a tragic figure in the early days of pro basketball, but he had some serious issues figuring out how to play on a contending team.

FYi, ESPN’s 16-hour basketball documentary has several episodes on the career parallels of Oscar and Jerry West, dating from their early years in high school through retirement. It’s all on demand for free on the ESPN app.

The whole thing is really remarkable, FWIW. Really goes in depth on the 60s and 70s. Lots of amazing stories there.

                • I like parts of our team this year but I can't get even a little bit excited about Reggie Jackson. We need a different PG.

                  • To do what? They can get to the playoffs and win a round with Reggie Jackson at PG. he isn’t their first, second or maybe third best player. If you mean win a championship, then they need a lot more than just replacing Reggie Jackson.

                    • I was stoked that SVG basically made him appear out of thin air but he looks like a square peg in a round hole in this team. The strength of this team is their bigs and he just isn’t a good shooter or facilitator IMO. He can drive and dish which fits but that’s about it.

                      • He actually is both a good outside shooter and facilitator. He’s one of the better PnR ballhandlers in the nba if he’s healthy.

the pistons were 4th in the east the night he snapped his ankle last season and they dropped to 9th. They’re a better team now than they were at that point and the east is worse.

                        • Pistons? I thought the broke up years ago. I didn't realize that they are still around. Do they still play basketball or are they doing something different now?
Rebuilding is better than winning. Teams win all the time, but none have been rebuilding for five decades

Lol. They, like 27 other teams, need a different league. Err, Association.

The NBA is broken beyond repair. Watch it for the small story lines. Watch it to see the Warrriors win it, AGAIN. But in no way fool yourself into thinking you have a shot. You don't. And ex-fans like myself will only tune in at 2% of what we used to.

This is where I am. NBA is not competitive. Most teams have no real shot. Maybe 6 teams have something of a chance but it will be the Warriors. The NBA superteams kill the sport for me. I'll watch some Pistons games but no like I used to or like I do other sports.

                              • Truthfully the NBA has been pretty lopsided for along time right?
10 teams have won championships since 1984. The other 20 teams are on the outside looking in until they find a superstar to carry them.
