  • The Kelly stuff is looking increasingly silly, too. They investigated him for preposterous Logan Act shit, and when they finished interviewing him the agents thought he was being truthful. His statements ended up being not entirely consistent with the record, so PERJURY!

But the underlying "criminal" act remains preposterous. To wit: John Kerry meets with the Iranian Foreign Minister in a direct effort to preserve the Iran-US Deal -- https://www.bostonglobe.com/news/nat...CUL/story.html

John Kerry is a private citizen. The foreign minister of Iran is an agent of a foreign government. LOGAN ACT!!!!!! And, btw, this shit is way more substantive than the nothing conversation Flynn had with the Russian ambassador (as part of the the fucking transition). So, the FBI asks about shit which is ain't ever been considered illegal and drums up a perjury charge.

speaking of the Logan Act, 0's State Department spokesman was asked about the transition's contacts with foreign governments back in Jan 2017 and they were fine with it... because that is standard protocol.

        • Sure, it's "wrong"-- but it's not criminal. Or it ought not be.

with the Russians Mueller basically has to show his hand and doesn't want to do it

the two attorneys for concord management are entitled to access to muellers case
his strategy is not working--he cannot connect the dots to get to the trump
the manafort strategy and the Kelly strategy to try to get them to sing must be failing too.
?I think there are some judges that believe that in being evenhanded, they should give the winner a hard time, too,? said James Trusty, a former federal prosecutor now with the law firm Ifrah Law. ?At the end of the day, it?s very dangerous to read the tea leaves from comments from the bench.?

Lisa Kern Griffin, a professor at Duke University School of Law and a former federal prosecutor, said it is unlikely Ellis will dismiss the charges against Manafort because bringing them was ?almost certainly? within Mueller?s broad authority.

If Ellis dismissed the charges, they would likely be reinstated by an appeals court, Griffin said. ?I think Judge Ellis may just be putting to the government through its paces,? she said. ?That is not uncommon.?

              ......

I guess we'll see. Most of the legal experts I've seen commenting on this don't think the Judge will actually end up dismissing the charges.

                • Nevermind the suspense...here's the story. Four women accuse Eric Schndierman, New York's AG, of abuse

Eric Schneiderman has raised his profile as a voice against sexual misconduct. Now, after suing Harvey Weinstein, he faces a #MeToo reckoning of his own.

EDIT: There's some disturbing details in this piece. He's basically being accused of getting off on physical violence during sex

                    • President Douche Bag is at it again, sniveling and whining about "13 angry democrats". If Mueller had Trumpanzees on staff that were willing and able to sweep under the rug any criminal activity uncovered, somehow justice would be served? Perhaps his oh-so-bright legal team should inform the Shithead-In-Chief that the DOJ is specifically prohibited from considering political affiliation when hiring.

And where was the outrage about leakers when Chump's staff leaked the 49 questions to the NYT that Mueller provided his attorneys? Where's the 'lock them up' chant? I guess leaking is okay if you're trying to defend the lying, amoral, ethically bankrupt, corrupt, narcissistic, dishonorable, egotistical, POS aka Donald "J is for Jenius" Trump.
