On immigration, PDJT used executive authority to issue a rule that restricts green cards to immigrants on the public dole. Aside from making gads of sense, it has the added benefit of inducing #GentryCommunists to whine about how terrible this will be for immigrants who, according to the same people just a little bit ago, were never taking public aid.

I think it would be nice if the TV media presented this image at the opening of each am and pm national news broadcast. The concept, real and implied, is grossly misunderstood by voters. Maybe run ads like the anti smoking ads to increase public awareness that weapons like the Colt AR15 ARE illegal without a federal license to purchase and own. Clearly, that's not stopping mass shootings by crazies who get their hands on one. I think political capital can be gained by speaking to responsible ways to better limit the illegal purchase and possession of the weapons already on the books as illegal. Tucker Carlson has conveniently gone on vacation, but there are mumblings that it's actually a suspension by Fox News for his "white supremacy is a hoax" comment. He has probably been on extremely thin ice for a long time and his days on legacy media are surely numbered. I am surprised that he has lasted this long. The AR 15 is legal in most states as long as it is a semi auto (I can't speak for Cali or NY or a few other states). A new fully auto AR requires the class 3 FFL license - UNLESS you fill out an ATF form 4 AND the weapon is pre-1986. The salient point is the AR at the top was illegal for 10 years due to the "assault" weapon ban and many are clamoring for that ban to be brought back. The rifle on the bottom was never illegal and would not be illegal with the 1994 AWB being brought back - even though they are functionally the same weapon.
