Batch got screwed over by Millen. Millen made his decision to can him early in the second quarter of the first game he played in after being hired.

The remainder of his career allowed him to play in the big game, something he would never have experienced if he was retained.

The man could never stay healthy for 3 straight games. I am not sure if that was why Millen didn't want him but he was right that he was not a starting QB you could rely on. Probably the only thing he got right in his whole career!
