    • Holy fk, UK......., that's a toss up between this thread and the "piss off" thread.

I have never turned it on when it pops up on any of the forums I frequent. Partly because the little blurb it adds to the end of a post irritates me for some reason, but mainly because I couldn't imagine how it would enhance my use of my device in a forum.

Now I have another reason. Ha!

                      • Since I'm working a lot I decided to resurrect my Samsung Galaxy tablet that has served as a clock radio bedside for a couple of years and give my hands a keyboard break. Well the fool thing didn't like all the attention and promptly died. I replaced it with a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8" which is about a third of the price of its predecessor albeit 2" smaller. Not wanting this tablet to get orphaned bedside I bought a $50 Amazon Fire 7" tablet to fill that role. I first tried to use an old phone as the iheart host but when the alarm went off the phone would also vibrate. Difficult thing to deal with when first waking up all bleary eyed. A shame since it would have saved me $50.

                        • Does anyone know of an app like iheartradio that allows multiple alarms? That's my one complaint about iHeart is that you can only set one alarm.

                          • How many of you got a forced update to Windows 10? I've kind of forgotten about this for a few months now. I installed Never 10 from Gibson Research back then.

I'm not totally opposed to 10, especially since it's a free update. But I don't want it forced on me, especially when I've got so much development going on for the new company. I can't afford for something to get jacked up in a change.
The only thing missing from that Marvin Jones touchdown reversal is that it wasn't a first round playoff game.

                            • Dave - an important thing about upgrading to Windows 10 - if you don't like it or something goes awry, there is an unadvertised rollback option. I did the upgrade last year at this time and it went flawlessly

                              • My computer asked me everyday to upgrade to 10 until I just fucking did it.

I use what used to be my wife's laptop. It came with 8, but we used a "run like 7" program. It got really slow because my wife clicks on things like "click here to see why Brad and Angelina split"

10 is better than 8 was, but I wonder, why was 8 ever released on us as fucking bad as it was. 7 was bearable, and I remember feeling that what 7 replaced was okay too.

BTW, frequent updates for all the world's phones and computers (must be a few billion) and antivirus is a GREAT opportunity to collect meta-data on a regular basis.

I'm sure when we skip that 57 page user agreement, there is something in there that authorizes government monitoring if a certain condition (which will always be true) is true.

Why is there a 57 page user agreement? I feel I already understand, I just don't know why it isn't obvious to everyone else. So they can sneak underhanded stuff past you.

You sure the fuck can't disagree and still run a computer or a phone.
