Yeah. That is typically a formula for disaster.

Lions hung tough and gutted out the W.

We just need to be playing our best ball at the end of the season for our playoff run to the Super Bowl.

Beat the Bears in Chicago next week and this team is for real. Lose, and it's season over with wild card tie breakers as they are now and the Vikings continuing to win.

Beat the Bears and Vikings and with a Vikings loss against the Rams and we are in the driver's seat and off to the Super Bowl!

Put down that brownie, and take the next plane out of Colorado.

I think Austin will adapt enough to handle the run game against the Bears. He's always had a knack for scheming around injuries and deficiencies on the defense. Trubisky is not the same sort of threat that Kizer is, so they can approach the game a bit differently.

IDK. I don't think Kiser is much of a threat unless he has time. Focus on stopping the run and let the Kisers and Tribiskys of the world do what young QBs do, make their own mistakes.

Everyone thinks Kiser getting knocked out turned the game. IMHO, when the Browns stopped running the ball the game turned. They were gashing us. And then they just started throwing it. They can't get out of their own way.

For us, we need to get back to stopping the run. If the Boars can beat us on the arm of a rookie QB, more power to them.

They used the run to set up the pass.

Hue Jackson is a really good OC. I would love for him to come take Robert's job. He's just horrible at being a HC. WHich is something I think the Browns want right now to get better talent through the draft.

I don't buy into the premise that the game was tougher because the Browns had a week off and Lions played Monday.

Living in Seattle during the time before and after the Seahawks won the Superbowl, I listened to all the local sports guys talk about how the Seahawks had a difficult time playing on the East coast and winning early games.

Some of the local guys were ex football players. They said it was just an excuse and professional players should be able to adjust.

The Seahwks had a great defense, and a solid running game. Once they drafted the missing piece, aka Russell Wilson, those excuses didn't pop up anymore because lo and behold the Seahawks started winning those games.

When the Lions are good enough, if ever in my lifetime, this issue will not come up.

The problem with this team, ever since the QB has arrived, they can't or don't play 4 quarters of goof football. The Packers game they did, but all the other games it seems like it's either a 1st or 4th quarter quality performance.

I think it would be interesting to look at the Lions last 7 seasons and break down the games by quarters and see the + - scoring stats by quarters.

I think the 2nd and 3rd quarters would not look good.

And this opinion is not a calling out of Stafford, it's just an observation that I think i see.

But until it's corrected they wont' be able to win 8 regular season games in a row against week opponents,(this year), let alone 3-4 in a row against playoff teams.

I think a big part of the equation here is they have been playing goof football for too many quarters.

Fuggin 'local guys'!

A lot of people are saying if they got it, they wouldn't be ex football players.

I'm hearing this. People are saying it.

So if you look at it, and I think people should... There's a lot to consider. And things of that nature.

The ex players were retired, played many years, and were very good players.

Again noid just cause I wasn't watching the Lions didn't mean I wasn't watching football.

And I did watch the Lions when they were on National tv.

But back to goof football, appropriate in any discussion of the Lions ha ha
