  • It hurts. Doesn’t ruin the Rams’ season by removing the engine (Stafford) of their success. Next man up.

Love my comparisons. Bucks lost starter Donte DiVenceno last season and still won the title because the prime core was still there.
Rams are top heavy. Losing Stafford, Donald, or Ramsey would be significant. Mainly Stafford.

    • Blake Griffin contributed a ton to the Nets last year. They were a Durant foot on the line from going to the finals and they had to play Griffin a lot.

        • Their backup is John Wolford. My Rams need to bubble wrap Stafford and make him sleep in a hyperbaric chamber.

I'm talking about 2011 season. Lose Calvin 1/2 way and you know they get tops 7 wins - and they'd be starting with 6 in the bag.

              • My Rams don't play until tomorrow.

I wonder if there will be any games worth watching today?

                    • Packers’ Adrian Amos: Matt Stafford was always good, he just played for the Lions

In his seven-year NFL career, Packers safety Adrian Amos has faced Matthew Stafford 11 times. But he expects Sunday’s meeting to be different.

That’s because Amos has always played Stafford when he was a Detroit Lion. On Sunday, Amos and the Packers are facing Stafford in his first trip to Green Bay as a Los Angeles Ram. And Amos says that will be very different.

Matt Stafford was always good,” Amos said today. “He just played for the Lions.”

It’s painful for Lions fans to hear, but Amos has a point. Stafford is poised to put up the best numbers of his career this year, but the difference is less about Stafford himself playing better than about Stafford playing for a better team with a better coaching staff.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

                      • I, for one, am glad that we as a fan base don't have to deal with her and her antics anymore.

Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly, says she won’t attend road games after pretzel incident

Kelly Stafford won’t be attending Rams road games after her “pretzelgate” drama.
The wife of quarterback Matthew Stafford said on her podcast Tuesday that it was the Rams star who suggested she should take a break from attending away games.

Kelly agreed, following an incident last week in which she threw a pretzel at a 49ers fan at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco. In a post-pretzel apology, she said she was being heckled.

“I’m human, I make mistakes, and I own up to them, I don’t f—king hide from them, that’s not me,” Kelly said on “The Morning After” podcast.

“I’ve always been taught, I wear my heart on my sleeve so I do stuff probably in a hot second, but I also realize in a hot second, not the best, and I go up and I apologize.”

Kelly explained that she offered to buy the fan and his partner food and drinks, but he declined. She was then escorted out of the stadium just five minutes into the game — which ended in a Rams loss, 31-10, to the 49ers.

She went on to claim that the fan began yelling that she was Stafford’s wife, and that he “wasn’t having” her apology — and even tried to keep the pretzel as a “souvenir.”

“Being a professional athlete’s significant other, you don’t want to bring attention to yourself negatively,” Kelly said on her podcast, admitting, “I f–king lost it and here we are.”
