Tschetter is the latest add to the "offered" list. 6'8" kid from Minnesota that seems to be starting to get some buzz. I don't see his star-ranking anywhere yet but it sounds like it's coming. Nebraska and Minnesota also offered him yesterday and Arkansas offered him a few days ago.
      He also plays football.

      • A little more info about Tschetter: He averaged 33.6 PPG last season, led the state in points scored, shot 45% from 3, 60% overall, and was voted 2nd team All-State.

        • Another article says he averaged 34.4 points last season. Whichever, it's a ton.

I just watched a highlight video of his and it looks like the competition wasn't of a very high quality. That said, he looked good. He's not a jump out of the gym athlete but he's above average, I'd say. High energy, has a pretty good handle, very agile (but not smooth) and attacks the rim. He plays basketball a bit like a football player. He doesn't get super high above the rim but he tries to rip it down. Herky-jerky. Attitude-wise, I'd say he's a little like Mitch McGary or Dennis Rodman. Brian Cardinal too, if you want to go for a more obscure comparison. He'll piss you off if you're playing against him. He could be fun to have, if his talent translates to better competition.

          • There have been other 2022 offers going out as well. Maybe I'll put a list up for that too sometime soon.

There's certainly a lot more to follow than the Beilein-era. 2022 offers would still be waiting for his June 15th starting date.

            • Rivals updated their rankings and Tschetter was added to their list. He's at #144 and a 3-star.

                  • Nojel Eastern will NOT be transferring to Michigan after all. He says that due to his major at Iowa, not enough of his credits will transfer to Michigan, so he will have to look elsewhere.

I guess he shouldn't have taken Corn Planting and Harvesting, along with Cow Manure Studies. Those would be hard to get credit for at Michigan. Maybe MSU ....

So, I guess that leaves a scholly open

                    • It would be nice if Efton Reed reclassifies and comes here. It would also be nice if we had a combo-guard but there really isn't much out there.

Also, Isaiah Barnes just had 3 Crystal Ball predictions to Michigan today, including one from Sam Webb.

                          • Aaaand we have our first commit to the 2021 class. Welcome Isaiah Barnes!

                            https://twitter.com/Isaiahbarnes_/st...905372162?s=20

There's not a ton of highlight videos on him but here are a couple.

He looks to have a good jumper and decent athleticism. Plus, he has sweet hair! 247 has him at #85 in their own rankings. It seems likely he'll be in that 60-90 range when it's all said and done.

Did you watch the high school highlights that Dylan posted on umhoops? It's so much more impressive than his summer highlights. He's a lot more springy than in the summer and looks stronger. Big calf muscles and broad shoulders. I went from being pleased about the commit to excited about what he might bring.
