        • Tim Scott breaks ranks to effectively kill the controversial nomination of Thomas Farr to the federal judiciary. Jeff Flake has already said he will vote no on all judicial nominees until Mitch McConnell allows a vote on the Protect Mueller bill.

          • Interesting, the winning party's margin of total national votes the last 4 times the House has flipped

            1994: Republican +6.8%
            2006: Democrats +8.0%
            2010: Republicans +6.6%
2018: Democrats +8.4% (and still creeping upwards)

EDIT: Wall Street Journal is also reporting this now and their source is long-time Trump associate Felix Sater, who's willing to go on the record

The Moscow project marked the culmination of 30 years of interest by Mr. Trump in establishing a foothold in Russia and nearby Ukraine. The push involved more than 20 separate developments. Though ultimately none came to fruition, one advanced far enough to leave a giant hole, eight stories down in the ground before being abandoned. The proposed plans for the 2016 project included giving Russian President Vladimir Putin a $50 million penthouse, long-time Trump associate Felix Sater said in an interview. Mr. Cohen loved the idea, Mr. Sater said.

                        • I want to go on record as entirely and completely in favor of an entirely or almost entirely skills-based immigration policy. That requires rules, though, and rules, if they are to mean anything, require enforcement. So, there's only one party even remotely interested in that idea.

This is true. And relying purely on electing the right people for enforcement will never be a viable strategy on its own. I said above that you need some form of physical interdiction as part of a comprehensive enforcement plan (hint hint)

And the demographics issue cannot be danced around, no matter how badly the Libertarian wing of the Republican party and Cuckservatives want to do so. You can be an individualist all that you want but you can't ignore the realities of statistical populations. You don't have to be some sort of white supremacist to be of the opinion that the country's current immigration policy is not in your (or the country's) best interest or to question the wisdom of having an open borders welfare state. We are increasingly becoming a means-tested economy and in that situation you are perfectly within your rights to want to keep out the people who don't have means. Especially the ones who are breaking our laws coming here.

I don't know why anyone would try claiming this in the first place. The only individual that has ever been the true target of this probe has been Trump. It was begun before the election with the piss dossier and since then it has been a fishing expedition to try and dig up dirt, get Trump on some sort of "gotcha" process "crime", and delegitimize the results of the 2016 election by claiming that it was somehow stolen by the Russians.
