Amazon is suing the government over the loss of its $10B JEDI contract. Amazon alleges they had an agreement with the Pentagon until Trump got directly involved and scrapped the deal for political reasons
It should be noted that Microsoft did NOT underbid Amazon. Supposedly the government is not saving any money by going with MS instead of Amazon.

The Pentagon was a couple of weeks away from announcing the contract, with Amazon widely expected to receive the bid, when Trump started being very vocally anti-Amazon in public. Suddenly the bid was put on pause and put under "further review". Three months later, they announced Microsoft as the winner.
If everything was done on the up and up and not just because Trump wanted tp punish Bezos, then the government has nothing to hide here. Trump should welcome the suit and a further opportunity to embarrass Bezos.

Bill Barr felt it necessary to put out his own statement saying that in his view the investigation was NOT justified. This is the second time Barr has attempted to undercut an independent investigation because it did not return the results he desired.Comment

Another IG finding: the Steele Dossier played no role in the launching of the Russia probe.
Incidentally, it's been revealed through all this that Christopher Steele met and became friends with Ivanka over a decade ago.

Our enemies are out there and the US is extremely vulnerable. Ron Desantis, Florida's Governor, has publicly blasted the Naval Air Training Command and the Navy in general for lax security on this Saudi National who was going through pilot training at NAS Pensacola.
Apparently, he had just filed a complaint against a Navy instructor who had called him "porn stash." He has a mustache. It was a joke and he was offended by it. I can see why. Stupid comment by the Navy instructor. Regardless, Desantis said that the shooter had a mile long trail of anti-US twitter statements. That this student wasn't being watched and this wasn't picked up on by people who should be monitoring foreign nationals going through pilot training of any kind after 911 is just phenomenally stupid.

A daunting task. Even tossing out the biggies, (FB, Instagram, Twitter,etc), how many internet forums are there frequented by Americans? How many posts per minute? Think of the facility in Utah used by the NSA to monitor telephone traffic. What would you need for the volume of internet posts? Do I really want the gov't to be monitoring everything? Are we willing to become China in domestic surveillance? Should we ask China for tips on domestic espionage?
