I thought we were essentially voting for Joe Manchin but ended up with AOC. Shame on me. At least now it is crystal clear, anyone with a D next to their name in 2021 isn't fit to run a lemonade stand and needs to be swept out of office at the earliest opportunity. Those people are just plain fucking nuts.
Not to worry, for your boy Trump is coming back for 2024. Unless he croaks or gets indicted, he will be YOUR nominee! I'm the only one here brave and bold enough to predict it! I will be proven right...again!

He gave an interview this morning saying the top issue facing the country right now is the 2020 Election. And he posted a letter to Gov. Greg Abbott that the top issue for voters in Texas is having Texas audit the last election.

You pitiable dopes may get distracted by frivolities like the national debt and the Haitian invasion, but the undisputed LEADER of your movement, the physical manifestation of conservative intellect and maturity, is keeping his eye on the ball!

Always got to leave that door open when unscrupulous sleaze is involved. Maybe one of his crash grab schemes, where he promised rubes like you he was going to spend endlessly on election lawsuits and instead kept everything for himself, will turn out to have broken the law. You never know!

        • Every day when he first gets up and slathers on the ol' orange grease paint one of Trump's lickspittles undoubtedly hands him something like a weather report. Only 15% chance of morning indictment, sir, with scattered arbitrations moving in later today.

          • Honest question: Can someone under federal indictment run for federal office? I would think they could since they haven't been convicted of anything but A) Trump isn't going to be indicted on anything and B) even if he was, he'd still run. I have a feeling he's going to cost the Rs in 2022 and 2024 just he like he lost them the Senate in 2020.

Had to look it up but it appears the answer is yes. If you're already in Congress and you are convicted, you still aren't automatically expelled. You either have to resign or they vote to expel you.

Also, Lyndon LaRouche ran for President from prison in 1992. It's unclear what would happen if someone like that actually won but they'd probably be barred from the office and the VP candidate would take office instead.

                • The House just passed a bill 420 to 9 to give Israel $1 billion for the Iron Dome...lol

8 Dems and 1 Republican were against...AOC voted present, more lol

                    • So basically less than a dozen reps said get rid of the Iron Dome funding from the CR or we'll vote it down. Pelosi said ok.

And within days they draft and pass a standalone bill for the funding instead with a huge majority.

Makes you wonder if the same group of 8 are the only ones who would really vote against infrastructure alone if push comes to shove. And not dozens and dozens

So AOC didn't have the guts to vote No. I'm not surprised.

And she wants to replace Schumer. And likely will, but only when he retires.

Its up to you... New York ...

                            • This kind of politics and the blatant hypocrisy should be headline news. It never is ....... wait.

It's been going on since the late 1780's, specifically 1789 when these people first started to gather in NY. It is arguably the most important Congress in U.S. history. To this new legislature fell the responsibility of passing all the legislation needed to implement the new system, solving the difficult political questions left by the Constitutional Convention, setting up the rules and procedures of the House and Senate, and establishing the roles of its officers such as Speaker of the House and President of the Senate.

Seriously though if you've ever taken time to look at newspaper headlines over big scandals and tricky votes over the last 200+ years or so, especially some of the cartoons of the late 18th - 20thth century, you shouldn't be surprised about AOC or how the Iron Dome funding came to be a part of the CR. Politics as usual.

The sad thing is that politicians were once upon a time sensitive to being embarrassed by the stinging rebukes in the press. That's because it was through those eyes of the press and the papers they wrote in, the only relabel news source of the time, about the stupid shit members of congress often tried to do. These days this kind of obscure small stuff that really does pull the pants down on these tools doesn't even make the editors desk. Instead the headlines are about Gabby Petino's murder.

Your welcome for this evening history lesson.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. JH chased Saban from Alabama and caused Day, at the point of the OSU AD's gun, to make major changes to his staff just to beat Michigan. Love it. It's Moore!!!! time

You haven't been proven right once, much less again!

But, that aside, Trump is certainly not my leader. As I've said so often, Trump is a narcissistic egomaniac. I haven't heard of the interview you cite, but I'll accept your word about what Trump said because it sounds like Trump. I simply don't know any thoughtful conservatives who want Trump to be the nominee. And I don't think Trump will be the nominee. DeSantis would certainly be better. I happen to like Pompeo because he is smart and I believe a military man is needed as President in order to restore the military. There is no greater danger to a republic than a politicized military.

I'll let others speak for themselves, but I bet guys like Mike are not anxious to have Trump as President, either. More and more people are realizing that Trump's policies were basically good for the country. The polls show a dramatic drop in Chairman Joe's approval among independents and among black men. Independents are down 24% since Jan 20th.

But, DSL, I'll give you another chance to be right. Can you name any policy change that the current Biden administration has made which has benefitted the American people? The best thing I've seen is Joe fulfilling Trump's vaccination plan, but that was not a policy change. Interested in your answer.
