    • Maybe you can convince the American people that Marjorie Greene will run the R party if the Ds lose power. I dunno.

I feel almost certain the American people believe that The Chairman runs the D party and feel fairly certain the American people see The Squad as having an outsized influence over the D party.

      Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

        • Oh there's no hope for the midterms. None.

But can we convince the American public Donald Trump runs the Republican party with an iron fist? Absolutely, because it happens to be 100% true. Far more true than anyone claiming AOC (or even more ludicrous, Ilhan Omar) orders around Pelosi, Biden, and Schumer.

          • Sure re PDJT. But, again, I think the same thing is true about The Chairman running the D party. And, that's not particularly good news for the Ds. And I also think my comment about the outsized importance of the Squad is correct, too.

So, with PDJT, I can actually understand the Rs kowtowing. He still carries a significant electoral weight. I don't like it and I think it's harmful to the Rs, but I can at least understand it.

With The Jihad Squad and other progressives, I'm told by Ds that they don't represent the party -- and I tend to believe that. I tend to believe they don't have that much electoral weight. And, yet, I don't see The Chairman telling them to fuck off. And, in general, I don't see Ds lining up to side with people who are targeted by the progs or woke left (I'll throw out Dave Chappelle). And the things that get me are (a) they probably agree with Chappelle (or others) and (b) their better nature is preyed upon by the woke left or progs to silence them.

But, meh. Whatever. Everything is about narratives and your team and you can't possibly go against your own team and their respective narratives.

Both sides keep their mouths shut for the good of "unity" and the "team". Although I think the Dems have a more natural tendency to do this. Call it the socialist instinct if you will. The Republicans, being more individualistic, have to be browbeat into it by a figure like Trump. And even then he isn't forcing them into a particular ideology; the only requirement is that they remain permanently "loyal" to him personally.

No! Absolutely not! You must get your second booster and wear triple masks. And never leave your house.

                    • I'd rather MTG run the Republicans than Trump. I'd trust her to push the Conservative agenda more than Donald. MTG is one of the only Republicans who has publicly called out what utter bullshit the January 6 "insurrection" was. Donald sat there with his thumb up his ass.

She's a dumbfuck, gutter trash, and wants to be a really low-end reality tv celebrity, not a congressperson. If that represents the future of Conservatism, all the Dems need to do is drift moderately closer to the middle and they'll have a permanent majority.

                        • Former President Deals was in court today arguing that he has the authority to overrule Biden on executive privilege. It didn't go well for his lawyers. They're already vowing to take this to the Supreme Court (if they'll have it) because they know they are going to lose again.

                          • Omicron ...... well, the argument goes you fuckers in the rich countries are paying for your inattention to the vaccination needs of poor countries. That you horded all the vaccines, leaving poor countries as breeding grounds for new mutations is why Omicron is out there.

This argument is patently FALSE. That is because the host that most likely spawned Omicron is a single person who is immunocompromised not millions of Africans who hosted and grew Omicron because of vaccine inequity. The proof of that hypothesis which is not getting a lot of press becasue it doesn't fit the leftist narrative - rich is bad. it is bad because of Capitalism and the poor suffer and are exploited by the capitalists. Bring on the Communists!

Fuck that. What is the truth.

A thing called a cladogram - an ancestral tree of SARS2. It shows that Omicron branched off early in 2020, before Delta came on the scene. Since then it has been undetected and, until now, did not spread. It's spreading now not because of vaccine inequity but because, well, that's what a virus does in populations that don't have any natural or conferred immunity. If that was not true and mutations developed in Africa because of vaccine inequity, how does one explain the COVID surge in Europe that, unlike Africa, has an R naught 10X that of Africa. Africa did not spawn Omicron, which will probably die out for a number of science based reasons that, no surprise, is not getting the press it deserves.

Like Crash noted: if you want to not worry about Omicron ending life on the planet as we know it, turn off your TV..... and oh, BTW, travel and enjoy the Holidays with family.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. JH chased Saban from Alabama and caused Day, at the point of the OSU AD's gun, to make major changes to his staff just to beat Michigan. Love it. It's Moore!!!! time
