          • Kemp already declared the winner. What would be the real cherry on Trump's shit sundae is if Brad Raffensberger keeps his job as Sec of State. He's beating Jody Hice 51.3% vs 32.5% currently on the same ballots that Kemp is beating Perdue.

              • Kemp only ahead of Perdue 199,000 to 60,000. It's a real nailbiter.

Trump endorsed some young shitstain from his Administration named Patrick Witt who's running for Georgia Insurance Commissioner. His boy is losing even worse than Perdue with 15% of the vote. Can you imagine, as a former President, expending political capital on a goddamn State Commissioner of Insurance race? He did it solely because the incumbent's a friend of Kemp. But that's our vengeful, fucking idiot for you. Not rational.

RE: Raffensberger, I feel pretty good he will win a plurality but might not avoid a run-off. He's barely over 50% and running way behind Kemp. Needs big Atlanta numbers

LOL at Biden selling out to the left. This is a man that told wall street donors at his first fundraiser when running for president, that nothing would fundamentally change.

A man that when asked about student debt at a town hall said that he had no sympathy for younger generations saddled with crushing debt.

A man that is "agonizing" for canceling any student debt. No doubt it would means tested to the nth degree if any happens at all.

This is man that thinks Kamala Harris/Mayor Pete are the future of the Dem party. In other words, corporate Dems with the same craptacular vapid policies that have no principles outside of what the latest polls say.

It is no coincidence, that Biden was most popular when he handed out stimulus checks and actually took the covid 19 pandemic seriously (and Trump deserves credit for cutting the red tape). People thought he was fighting for them. Since then lots of nothing outside of getting out of Afghanistan (which was way overdue). And allowed Manchin and Sinema to run the government.

                  • I overlooked that Trump also endorsed some asshole for Georgia AG to beat the current AG, because he declined to obey Trump's 2020 commands. That schmuck is losing by almost 50 points too.

Trump tried to get the entire sitting Republican government of Georgia kicked out of office and he's failing miserably.

                      • Also, hot take, Georgia has way too many counties. Almost 160! More than any other state but Texas

A lot of people think it has to do with transportation needs of the 1820’s or whatever. Small counties, so you could easily ride your horse to the county seat and back. Actually, it’s the fact that Georgia used the county unit system back then:

See, starting in the late 1800s, a political system was taking shape. It was called the County Unit System.

The way it worked was candidates in Georgia won not by number of votes, but by number of counties they carried.

“There was a saying back in the old days in the County Unit System that pine trees counted more than people when it came to electing a governor,” said Tom Crawford, a longtime political journalist and editor of the Georgia Report.

That’s because counties had a set amount of votes, almost regardless of population. And that meant more counties equaled more power.

As the County Unit System went into place, lawmakers created more counties — a couple dozen — so that by the 1930s rural counties outnumbered urban areas 15 to one.
