  • As expected, Jaheim Singletary (2022 CB) verbals to Ohio State. He's a Florida a kid, so I wouldn't call this one locked in. But, he's a Jacksonville kid, and OSU does well there. So maybe. For now, at least, Singletary is Ohio State's 3rd 5* verbal for 2022. Hopefully Ohio State can follow up 2021's respectable recruiting effort with a really good class. Gonna have to fight off Sark's bid to get Ewers back to Austin.

Anyway, Ohio State's 10 commits for 2022 would rank 5th in the B10 for 2021.

    • Man, if CRD can just survive next season. It's gonna be brutal, but if he can survive it, they're really looking good on the other end.

              • Can't decide if that's one of the least desirable jobs in the NFL or just one of the least stressful.

                      • Hasn’t really been talked about much, but I hated the call against Skalski. I think it was a legit targeting call by the way the rules are written, but just hated it.

                        • He was diving low to get the legs, JF twisted left and lowered and got the crown of Skalski’s helmet on his ribs instead of the pads. Obviously wasn’t intentional, and for those who have played football knows those close, full-speed plays are just a blur.

The funny thing is that rule was put in to protect the tackler. Still hate the rule.

                          • The rule is stupid. That particular incident, as noted, is prohibited for the protection of the tackler. That particular incident should not lead to disqualification.

That said, Ohio State lost Shaun Wade last year to an "by the rule" targeting that was nothing more than an ordinary football play.

They need to tier the penalties into 15-yards/automatic disqualification. Hell, they can even count the 15-yarder toward disqualification if they get another targeting or unsporstmanlike.
