    • a paper phone ?

      Extremely lightweight and made out of a thin-film, the PaperPhone has a flexible electronic display that is set to herald a new generation of computers.
      The only logical explanation is:
      I'm about to die and this is my Jacob's Ladder

        • I had to use that the other day. I have no clue where this malware came from but it deleted my desktop, took away the wallpaper, made every program file hidden and read only. It also ran a program in the background that took all the memory and kept on crashing the computer. Malwarebytes cleaned it up. The only lasting damge seems to be that it permanently removed icons in the program folder on the start bar.

                • I wish my 17 year old sons friend Jamie would get good at Call of Duty. Every time it's on, I hear, "Jamie, Jamie, watch yer back Jamie, aw for Gods sake Jamie,....., right Jamie, move, 5 kill streak, don't ruin it, go Jamie...., Aw for Gods Sake Jamie."
                  Sometimes I feel like grabbing the headset off his head and shouting, "Jamie, FFS pal, start practicing."

                  • I need some SQL help. Basically I have a cron that runs every 5 minutes. No matter when it runs, I want to query records that were inserted going back to the top of the hour. So it would be something like:

                    select * from table where InsertTime >= 'yyyy-mm-dd hh:00:00'

                    Where yyyy-mm-dd is the current date and hh is the current hour. How the hell do I do that o wise ones? THANKS!

                      • Holy crap, I think I just figured it out unless there's an easier way.

                        select dateadd(second, -60 * datepart(mi, getdate()) - datepart(second, getdate()), getdate())
                        It's so flat you can watch your dog run away for three days.

                        • If that works it works. You could also try (untested, of course):

                          dateadd(hh,0, datediff(hh,0,getdate()))
                          Suspicion breeds trust.

                          • This looks cool, but I'm sure it'll be crazy expensive at first:

                            Light-field photography has the potential to revolutionize photography. Ren Ng, the founder of Lytro, explains how a camera can capture images that are never out of focus.

                            • Yeah, read about the LYTRO tech a couple of days ago.

                              I am highly interested in it.
