    Here's a primer:

    1) It's a scam.
    2) Employees from one daily fantasy site can (and have) used insider information to gain an edge on other daily fantasy sites.
    3) It's a scam.
    4) The big winners are the people who already have access to a big nest egg, and play the game almost like a stock market with information your average player will never have access to.
    5) It's a scam.
    6) Daily fantasy sites always set a minimum payout because they know 90% of their users will never reach it.
    7) It's a scam.
    8) Even though it's really gambling, and everyone knows it's gambling, it used lobby power (with help from the major sports leagues) to have it classified as a game of skill so that it could skirt federal gambling laws. Even though it's really gambling.
    9) Have I mentioned it's a scam yet?

    • It's a joke. The fact that online poker is banned and they allow fantasy sports.

The winners are math guys with crazy ass spreadsheets. Baseball is where the stat guys have a huge advantage. Righty vs. Lefty splits. Hell, they even factor in the weather in their spreadsheets.

Or, if you're an employee from FanDuel with access to information on your site that you then use on DraftKings to score yourself big winnings, a practice that was known and supported with policy by the executives for each company.

        • I believe they shot themselves in the feet with the endless barrage of annoying ads shining the light on the two companies. Most people ignored it completely until the past year to two. Now you cannot avoid the commericals, it graduated from white noise cedar to a nuisance.

Then concept sounds fine but when you first day out what a scam it is you wonder why anybody would play with those two companies.

          • Tonight's game was strange. For the first 30 minutes they played really well. They pressured Montreal and they were somewhat responsible defensively. Then they started blowing it and let Montreal get two goals for a one goal lead. They really fell apart after that and the Power Play was awful for most of the game. But then they manage a fluky power play goal in the third period and then start turning on jets and started pressing the Habs again and it led to Helm's second goal and the game winner.

I'm starting to think the team hates Mrazek. They hang him out to dry constantly. And Ken and Mickey recently brought up the fact that he has some of the worst offensive support of any goalie in the league. The poor guy really has to work for those Wins.

              • Wings beat the Conference leader.

                Not a small accomplishment.
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

They have even said that in the past employees of both sites had insider information such as the % of which players were being played....I wouldn't trust anything that involves gambling on the internet...>Too much corruption in this world.

                  • It was really easy to cheat at poker. All you needed was someone else with a different IP address in a different city. You could sit at the same table and play together.

                    • It's been a nice roll with the point streak. I still wish we could put some distance between us and NYI and Ottawa but it's tough to complain right now.

                      • I learned to stay away from gambling while stationed at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, realizing that the casino owners didn't raise those big buildings with bright lights while getting beat by the likes of me.

What I saw in some games were people using skype to cheat

                            • Larkin is out with an "upper body" injury but the Wings are still playing well. It's hilarious to see the Florida Panthers in the lead in the Atlantic division this late in the season.

Detroit is tied for second with Montreal but the Candians have played 37 games to our 35.. FL has 36. This is going to be a tight race this year, the east is packed.
