Gene Chizik's got his best disapproving dad pose going on in this prom photo. Hmmm, he's not too sure how he feels about you yet, kid. You better treat his daughter right. Be home by midnight. No funny business.

, and though it appears that Chizik isn't too keen on his daughter's date, she said the former Auburn football coach does indeed like him, or at least tolerate him.
You can almost hear Chizik grumbling and grunting through the photo.

Thanks everyone! Sorry that I hadn't checked in here in a few.

I shot this with video (on my Canon) and then edited it in Photoshop. The toughest part was shooting it. I had to make sure she was holding the bubble-stick (what do you call those things?) VERY still.

You then take a frame of the video and freeze it, creating a Layer out of it that is on top of the video layer. Then, you use the "Brush" tool in to paint in where you want to reveal motion. You can then set it up so the video part loops.

Does that make any sense?

Really, the toughest part is shooting the video portion correctly. This was the 3rd time we shot it because it took me a while to really realize how still she had to be.

She's 15, K. She is a voracious reader and wants to be an author someday and has a novel all sketched out and diagrammed in her room. She has a knack for turning a phrase and writing a catchy tune. She has written a few other songs for her friends that are pretty good. She says writing songs is easy. Ha!

What's made my day?......, my youngest son (20 and who has been a big Arsenal fan since he was 5 years old) informed me last night that he's getting tickets for me, him and two of his mates for the Arsenal V Hull City FA Cup Final @ Wembley which takes place on May 17th. Wow! Thanks young Scotty Boy!

I call BS!

1. Obviously the tiny guitar was photoshopped poorly. I mean it is like 1/4 the size of a real life guitar (not to mention it is missing strings).

2. The current generation does not have enough talent to write a song, let alone be that cute singing it. The dead giveaway? Writing it for a "friend", whatever. So a cute, talented, AND thoughtful human. PFFFFFT.

3. Sunshine, kid on bicycle, short sleeves? It's APRIL! So I guess she lives on the equator. Yeah right.

I bought my wife a kitten last year and the whole family adores it. I generally don't like cats but it's got a great disposition and everyone loves the animal. So....it's old enough that it likes to play the sneak out the door game.....anytime the door gets shut she screams bloody murder like the big baby she is.

So my wife let the dog out last night and apparently the cat snuck out. We didn't realize she was gone until today and was no where to be found. Liam and Andrea are hysterical went door to door in the neighborhood...no luck. It's 100 degrees in the daytime and we listen to the packs of coyotes howl at night......so I am not hopeful. Moral is low and I'm about to have the circle of life talk with my son.

I decide to throw up a Hail Mary.....I turn to Bubba a 13 year-old daschund. Almost completely blind, probably a little deaf (or just doesn't listen), cranky as an old dog can get, hates exercise, and basically his only contribution to the family at this point is to clean up any food that gets dropped on the floor (and only if it's not to much work to go get it). I hold the cat's toy up to his nose and say her name repeatedly until he starts to whine......then I set him loose on the neighborhood.

I'll be damned if he didn't lead me right to her... three blocks away hiding in a shrub.
