I understand why they were concerned but, what else is a defensive football player supposed to do in that situation? He was obviously not headhunting even though the seal block made contact.

Personally, I feel if you lead with your crown of your helmet on a tackle (by the by, that's not what I'm saying happened here), you should be penalized and ejected.

Doesn't matter where you hit 'em, doesn't matter if your target ducks down and makes contact. You throw yourself like a human missile, you get thrown out of the game. Seems like that'd be a lot easier to officiate than the three hundred rules and clarifications that try to judge intent and blind luck.
