    • RIP Dick Wagner this last year.

Didn't have much of a comercial success as much as the MC5 or The Stooges and Iggy, Ted Nugent, Bob Segar , Alice Cooper...ect- but could have and passed. Right up there in the Detroit rock of the late 60s - Grande Ballroom.

      • Woman at a small job in Edinburgh this morning told me she was "just off to the shop, back in an hour"....... So I cranked this song up on the Bluetooth speaker thing. Was pretending to be Liam, can of WD40 in hand for Mic, and she walked back in, "forgot something!"

        Fucking embarrassing.

                  • I haven't thought about Deep Purple in quite a while. I saw them at Joe Louis in '86, I think. Probably the 6th concert I ever went to and they put on a great show. Bad Company opened for them but it was with some replacement singer.

Wait- aren't you the one who doesn't like the Beatles? Oasis is the most Beatles-influenced (if not rip-off) band I know of.

                      • Yes, the songs they have created that are Beatles-esque, are shit. To call them a Beatles "rip off" band is just plain ludicrous.

                        • To add, my favourites of all time are Marillion......., and they claimed to be influenced by Yes, Genesis, Jethro Tull, and more recently Radiohead etc etc, but I can't say I'm a massive fan of any of them.

So all of their hits are shit. Gotcha.

                            • Yes that is true. A lot of their hits are shit. Sorry, have I said somewhere that I'm a massive Oasis fan? The Gas Panic song came on due to phone shuffle. These must be the first "Beatles protection" posts since the passing of Tony G. Calm yerself down there, buddy.
