Don't mean to jump on any Rush bashing bandwagon but Geddy Lee has the most irritating whiny voice in music. I remember a friend of mine way back in 84 getting all excited about "2112" and urging me to listen. Not for me. A bit like Dream Theater, their vocalist is just so shit.

I don't hate,them but I am somewhat on the same page as you on this. His voice is a detractor to me. There are still some songs of theirs that I like.
