I'm still trying to fugure out what CJ did that is so great?

He had inflated stats in a passing era and had 1 decent stat playoff game in which his team lost 45-28.

His big stat season in 2012 with122 catches and 1954 yards had only 5 TD's on the board.

Herman Moore once had 123 catches for 1686 yards and 14TD's. He also had 3 consecutive seasons with over 100 catches (not just 1). Admittedly, he also had very little individual success in 7 playoff games.

I just don't get the accolades. I know why he gets them, it's called marketing. COME SEE MEGATRON! Nah, chuck and luck offenses don't work for this fan. It's too uneven.

Do you ever ask that about Barry? Everything you said about CJ is also true about Barry. One big difference, analysis of the stats didn't show that the team was better off with anybody but CJ in short yardage situations.

He also scored 25 more career TD's than CJ with one more season in hand. Would have been plenty more had the retarded coaches not started taking him out in goal line situations.

Calvin and Barry both suffered from the same problem, taking them out in scoring situations. If memory serves me correctly, Calvin could have easily had 15+ TD's his rookie season - had Mike Martz not been so obsessed with thinking Calvin didn't know the route trees well enough to be in during the Red Zone. WTF?

Every game there seemed to be at least 1-2 drives where all they needed to do was throw it up and let him get it. Nobody can cover that when you still got the knees to leap 40"+ at 6'5".

BTW Calvin had 26 less TDs than Barry but he only touched the ball 750 times, verses Barry's 3412 times.

This is an example of why two separate coaches came to the same conclusion, that anybody but Barry is a better option in short yardage situation. This is the boxscore from the game in which Barry went over 15,000 career yards.

He carried the ball 20 times for a total of 33 yards. His longest carry was for 21 yards, his second longest was for 11 yards, his other 18 carries netted 1 yard. His career is filled with games just like this, many of them in the playoffs.
