In the delusional mind of wcfwtf he thinks misinterpreting "winning team" makes him enlightened.

      • If you are Lion fan for the wins and the championships, somebody sold you a bill of goods. You are better off finding another team.

        • Only detroit fans bitch about the players that play well and pull for the marginal players.

Prater has been solid and good from 50 plus. No Hanson yet but a different league then freese and Henry. They were a liability.

With me, it means, consistent winning teams with 11-12 win capabilities.

Yes I know I am asking for a lot, but ya know, that's what it will take to win multiple playoff games in 1 year.
Simple math, so only 4 - 5 teams will beat those teams (and there can not be many with that record - also simple math), Sooooooooooooooo you are asking the Lions to be one of the best 4-5 teams in the league? As optimistic as I can be I wouldn't reach there until they are a top ten team and make improvements from there.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

            • In 2016 there were 7 teams with 11 wins or more, same in 2015, 8 in 2014, 2013 saw 10 teams reach that level. So roughly 1/4 of the NFL on a given season wins 11 games or more. That a fairly high number.

Detroit has won 11 games or more twice since 1978 (beginning of 16 game season) 4 times in total.

                • Thad Lewis*- QB -*Free Agent

                  Ravens released QB Thad Lewis.

Veteran Lewis was a camp body. He missed all of 2016 with a torn ACL. Lewis turns 30 in November.

                  • Cowboys release backup QB Kellen Moore

                    9/2/2017 2:52:43 PM

The Dallas Cowboys have released veteran backup quarterback Kellen Moore according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

The 28-year-old Moore missed the entire 2016 season-an injury that famously paved the way for Dak Prescott to earn NFL stardom in his rookie season. Now Prescott is entrenched as the starter and Moore was expected to be the No.2 in Dallas but his play was shaky throughout the preseason and he was thoroughly outplayed by undrafted rookie Cooper Rush. The Cowboys have apparently elected to go with the rookie but it would not be a surprise to see them bring in one of the veteran journeyman QBs flooding the market on cutdown day. The Cowboys could also bring back Moore after Week 1.

                    • 49ers release slot receiver Jeremy Kerley

                      9/2/2017 1:51:41 PM

The San Francisco 49ers have released wide receiver Jeremy Kerley according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area.

The move is surprising considering that Kerley led the team in catches (64) and receiving yards (667) last season and then signed a three-year, $10.5 million deal to stay in San Fran in March. Kerley is strictly a slot receiver, however, and new head coach/OC Kyle Shanahan does not funnel his passing offense through the slot. Apparently the coaching staff. The 28-year-old Kerley, who spent his first five NFL seasons with the New York Jets, will likely resurface elsewhere

                        • Free agent wideout Jeremy Kerley visiting the Jets

The Jets didn’t have much in the way of wide receivers, and they’re continuing the search through the discard pile for qualified bodies.

According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, free agent wideout Jeremy Kerley was visiting the Jets Tuesday.

Kerley led the 49ers in receptions (64) and receiving yards (667) last year, but was shuffled out there in favor of some younger options.

The 28-year-old Kerley wasn’t surrounded by talent with the 49ers either, and could arguably be one of the Jets’ top options in a hurry. He spent his first five years in the league with the Jets before heading west last year.

After getting rid of Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker and then having Quincy Enunwa lost for the season to injury, they were sorely lacking at the position.

Bringing former Seahawks wideout Jermaine Kearse in as a makeweight in the Sheldon Richardson deal helped, but they can use all the help they can get.

Ive been critical of Quinn's handling of the DEs but I have to admit that the DEs he inherited and disbanded haven't caught on anywhere else. I remember Trapp consistently getting pressure as a rotational DE for the Lions.
