Ohio State in the rival. I can tolerate Nova winning a championship/ advancing if they knock off M. M would be given an opportunity for revenge from the 2018 championship game.

Granted, Ohio State would be an easier opponent.

Last night felt like last year's UCLA game where there was apparently a lid on the rim. The players generally played hard, but they were hard to watch most of the season. At least the Sweet Sixteen appearance salvaged things a little. We'll see how the roster shakes out for next season, but they need a consistent shooter badly.

That sucked for exactly that reason. Lost because their strong suit deserted them for a game. Rough way to go. Overall though quite happy to make the S16 after this crazy mess of a season, and what a delight to win one day and on the next day see Illinois, Ohio State, Sparty and Wisconsin go down in rapid succession. Anyone doubting our coach's Xs and Os acumen at this point is either stupid or a Sparty lying to themselves to feel better about it. Here's hoping for personal growth from him in areas such as composure and recruiting players between six feet tall and 6-6. Very excited to see who stays and who comes in.

Sweet Sixteen for this season isn't disappointing, roster wasn't a great fit. The two 5-star freshman weren't as ready as advertised, both need to improve their awareness on both ends of the court. Those weaknesses could keep them in Ann Arbor another season as they don't look like 1st rounders. Both are foreigners that aren't eligible for NIL; G-league money could look better to them.

So many lay-ups, rolled around the rim and rimmed out vs Nova.

They picked the wrong night to have their 2nd worst shooting game of the season. 21% from the field won't beat a good HS team, much less a talented team like Villanova. Its not like Villanova was denying them shots. They took 61 total shots. They got looks. They just didn't convert.

Houstan and Diabate need to stay another year, but if they project even into the 2nd round they may jump. There's some good talent on the way as well so we'll have to see how all this shakes out. Dickenson deserved a better exit.
