  • Officials said the reports consisted primarily of ambassadors and other foreign officials talking about how they were trying to develop contacts within Mr. Trump’s family and inner circle in advance of his inauguration. attribution to anonymous sources was deleted

So Nunes got his info from the White House, which is supposed to be the subject of his 'independent investigation'. The Trump people were just named in conversations between foreigners. He regards this as shocking evidence validating Trump's claims that Trump Tower was wiretapped by Obama. anonymous sources

Nunes seems very credible at this point.
Cripe, Strange, your cut and paste function is getting a workout.

One option would be to consider Nunes' own explanation of the sequence of events which you will not find in the NYT. Nunes said he went to the WH so he had the availability of secure electronic equipment with which to look up (on electronic media) the documents of which he had received only a few in hard copy. That could mean the two men in the NYT might have been the source of the documents, and it might not. Nunes then, next day, went to the press and then to the WH to brief Trump.

Right wing radio us blowing up over an interview with Evelyn Farcus on Morning Joe, where she confirmed that the Obama white house did indeed conduct surveillance on the Trump transition team, as the NYT reported on Jan 22.

What none of you lefties have ever even tried to explain is why Obama allowed NSA surveillance to be spread to 16 other agencies during the last couple weeks of his term. Again, NSA surveillance is done under a blanket FISA warrant (12333). By spreading the NSA raw data, what effectively happened is that citizens were surveilled without a warrant. Certainly, this was done with Obama's knowledge. That's what happened with Mike Flynn.

Hey Geezer, Fox just reported that they can confirm that two WH staffers are the ones who provided Nunes with his info. You ready to believe in this yet? Or is Fox a lying pack of lefties hellbent on destroying Devin Nunes, who unlike nearly all politicians, is a man of impeccable character?

        Uh-oh more breaking news...

        • Here's Snopes on Evelyn Farkus, Geezer. Though entropy has cautioned me that they are not to be trusted

Evelyn Farkas' 2 March 2017 MSNBC interview was decoupled from its context involving a 1 March 2017 article about efforts to preserve Obama-era intelligence.

Now, what do you think Michael Flynn plans to say in exchange for immunity?

Sanford a peculiar case, he's kind of an odd fit in the Freedom Caucus. Whether or not he voted for that ridiculous bill, he is getting primaried. But I don't think Trump understands the primary concept, is he going to send moderates to primary those guys? Ooooooh that's scary for them.

He'll have ample time to fight those guys in 2018, nobody with any political aspirations will want him within 50 miles of their campaign.

Trump may actually have convinced himself that he won a huge landslide in November. It's a part of his mental pattern to believe he's unbeatable.

That's true, he maybe doesn't realize that he is very close to turning into John Tyler.
