MOORE: “Of course. Nobody who abuses a 14-year-old at age 32 or age 17—it doesn’t matter—if you abuse a 14-year-old you shouldn’t be a Senate candidate. I agree with that. But I did not do that.”
HANNITY: “Let’s go back to it one more question, because I didn’t understand this. If you were 32, and you do date a 17 or 18 year old—that’s a pretty big gap for a pretty young girl—is that something that you did when you were dating? I’m not talking about the 14-year-old in that specific allegation. Would it be normal behavior back in those days for you to date a girl that’s 17 or 18?”
MOORE: “No. Not normal.”
HANNITY: “My daughter is 16 years old. If she’s 17 or 18, I don’t want her dating a 32-year-old.”
MOORE: “I wouldn’t either.”
HANNITY: “And you can say unequivocally that you never dated anybody that was in their late teens like that when you were 32?”
MOORE: “It would have been out of my customary behavior, that’s right.”
HANNITY: “In other words, you don’t recall dating any girl that young when you were that old?”
MOORE: “I’ve said no.”
HANNITY: “And you think that’s inappropriate, too, that’s what you’re saying?”

Arabs in general are obtuse they say one thing and mean another. Stuff they say can be intentionally misleading. It's seems to me to be a cultural thing. Whatever is going on, it would seem at first glance it's not going to amount to much. IMO, there are significant power plays going on, probably aimed at Iran. What the underlying objectives are would be any one's guess.
It's also interesting that Tillerson (State) seems to have a different take on the ME situation. The depth of Trump's delusions (or knowingly blatant lies) of Russian interference are incredible. When Obama met with Putin just prior to the election and told the ex-KGB Col to knock it off, Putin did not deny the activity. Realizing our current 'President' has not a shred of integrity, much less care one iota about this nation, Putin realizes he can advance Russia's agendas by pandering to Trump's personal instabilities and need for validation. Putin realizes he has an ally in Trump and all he has to say is "You're right Donny boy, we didn't interfere because that would completely undermine your legitamacy and people will laugh at you for being a propped up, easily manipulated loser." For whatever dark psychological reason, Trump buys into that false argument.

Assume that statement is heartfelt and truly held. Trump is either a 25th amendment candidate for intellectual incapacity or perhaps he's America's 21st century Quisling.

BBC and Reuters continue to provide decent stories re the "resignation" of Lebanon's PM, Saad al-Hariri. From my reading .......
This event has to be viewed and interpreted in the context of the major players, Iran and Saudi Arabia, in the centuries old conflict between Shia and Sunni Muslims. Also present is the difficult to understand tribal relationships that exist regardless of boarders imposed by the west in the ME after WWI and II.
Iran's proxies in Lebanon, Hezbollah and the apparent survival of Syria's President, Asaad are one level below the two majors but are key in what is going on. The Houthi rebels in Yemen are also playing a roll mostly as Iran's proxy in a hot conflict between SA and this group.
The best explanation is that the Saudis are trying to actively block the spreading influence of Iran in Lebanon and most recently, Syria. Reportedly, Hariri was flown to Riyadh to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed. This guy is the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. This seems to be an indirect effort by SA's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to remove Hariri from Lebanon to end a growing friendly relationship developing between Hariri and Hezbollah.
Coincidentally, the same evening that Hariri was flown to Riyadh from Lebanon, Salman rounded up 200+ business men and princes and put them up at the Riyadh Ritz Carlton (heh) under what outsiders call House Arrest. While the West interprets these moves as part of the evidence of Salman attempting to consolidate his power(Hariri is a Saudi and member of a powerful business family there), and may very well be, it probably has as much to do with SA wanting to end the Lebanese government from cozying up with Hezbollah.
Matters get more complicated when one considers that Hezbollah has strongly supported Assad's forces in Syria and they have been accused of attempting to create this sort of coalition between Assad and Hezbollah that exists between Hezbollah and US, French and UK supported moderates in Lebanon. Keep in mind, Hezbollah has long been considered Iran's proxy - no doubt about that so, SA sees all of this in the context of spreading Iranian influence in the region.
The Tillerson letter posted up thread is clear that Iran is the Country being warned and is consistent with the growing alliance between SA and the Trump Administration. Accordingly, State's seeming contradictory approach to DJT may not be at all contradictory.
Interesting stuff. Experts on the region reporting or making comments to reporters on this believe intentional military operations by either Iran or SA against each other are highly unlikely as this isn't either country's MO. However, proxys will continue to poke at each other creating instability in the ME. Accidental military encounters are likely and could be a match to a wider conflict involving opposed and well armed military's of multiple tribal or religiously aligned countrys.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished.
