Northwestern has released early design concepts for a planned $800M stadium, looks like a nice place for M Fans to fill.

Looks nice. I'd like to see renderings of the stands filled with maize and blue, red, green and all the usual colors. Purple seems weird.

Seems kind of silly to spend 800M on a stadium where only about 35K NW fans show up regularly, even when they are good. But, I'm sure visiting fans will appreciate it.

The pictures make it look bigger than it's going to be. The website says it will only hold about 35,000. And it's going to go where Ryan Field currently sits so the Husker-killers will have to find a home for a few years.

It's all supposed to come from "private funds", which means that NW has tons of money available. Considering that colleges in general are pretty free to continue collecting whatever they want, means they'll do just fine with it.
