  • Part of the reason OSU won't make it to the National Championship Game over a 1 loss Alabama or Oregon
    I really, really hope we see that situation. It'll be fun to see you once again proven wrong.

    • And, of course, 3 B10 teams sit just outside top 25. And coaches' poll, the one that actually counts, has yet to come out.

        Correcting the record? Last night you said "wildly inaccurate", does that no longer apply at 12:07 this afternoon?

        • No, it still does. The B10 has at least 3 ranked teams, assuming UNL isn't dropped by the coaches.

          Keep deflecting. You. Were. Wrong.

              Rocky I've seen two Iowa games and two Indiana games in their entirety. Neither of these teams are great maybe not even good but they have an identity and play a consistent game. I think that's the difference. M is both a bad football team and has no identity other than it is massively inconsistent and suffers from unimaginative coaching. I'd even give Ferentz an edge here over Hoke but certainly cut from the same cloth.
              Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. JH chased Saban from Alabama and caused Day, at the point of the OSU AD's gun, to make major changes to his staff just to beat Michigan. Love it. It's Moore!!!! time

              • Rocky and Jeff - You both ranked Indiana below Penn State, but yet they beat Penn State?

                Here's how I'd rank them

                OlieO - By default. Nobody else wants to be better than them
                Wisc - Again by default. Nobody other than OlieO seems to have their number
                Neb - Quietly improving, probably the favorite for the 2nd seed in the CCG
                MSU - Even Dumbtonio managed to find an effective offense.
                NW - OlieO loss took a lot of starch out of them.
                Iowa - They're better than Indiana, but that's not saying much
                Indiana - Who would have ever thought they'd learn to play football in Bloomington?
                Penn State - They edge out Michigan for this spot because they won the playoff.
                Michigan - They "Sybil" of college football. Nobody knows what to expect.
                Illinois - Below this, who cares?
                Minny - See above
                Purdue - Ditto

                • I don't think Indiana is all that good, but we'll see. Penn State had a bad day. It happens.

                    Obrien > Wilson who is a modern offensive coach while Obrien is a defensive coach with modern coaching skills.

                    Besides Obrien just coached the game of his life with 65 scholarship players. That puts him and his team clearly up there, IMO.

                    • I think OSU and Wisconsin are legitimately good teams.

                      Nebraska and MSU are getting there.

                      Michigan and NW have the potential to show up and beat a top team.

                      Iowa, IU and PSU are basically NW/M with the possible upside.

                      Illinois and Goofers are bad and Purdue is horrific.

                        Well, Wisconsin only has to play the shitty Big10 teams (plus BYU)the rest of the way so their record will look like a legimately good team.

                        @Illinois
                        @Iowa
                        vs. BYU
                        vs. Indiana
                        @ Minnesota
                        vs. Penn State

                        • 4 different B10 teams ranked. For some reason that I can't discern, the coaches keep M in the top 25 with Wisky sitting at 26.

                          • Next week:

                            Auburn @ Texas A&M
                            Florida @ Missouri

                            Wisconsin @ Illinois
                            Indiana @ Michigan
                            Purdue @ MSU
                            Minnesota @ Northwestern
                            Nebraska = BYE

                            Auburn, who barely deserves their AP ranking, will be back amongst the great unwashed. Missouri will have a big drop or Florida will fall out completely.

                            Meanwhile the 4 favored Big10 teams will all win, IMO.

                              Mattison.

                              If the rest of the coaches would stop f'ing things up and get their collective heads out of their asses, team 134 does have potential.

                              • Assuming the favorities all win next week:

                                (7-0) Ohio State
                                (6-1) Michigan
                                (6-1) Michigan State

                                (5-2) Wisconsin
                                (5-2) Northwestern
