  • Rush Propst alleges payment of UGA football recruits in audio recording (onlineathens.com)

Perhaps not the most reliable source, given his past history, but Mr. Propst has likely gotten the NCAA's attention. Will anything come of it?

You can't be asking that question seriously.

      • I hate Georgia, but Propst is insane.

No, not really, but I thought the story warranted a mention.

          • Alabama destroys MissState by 37. Hopefully, we have another early game tomorrow.

              • Rush Propst has signed an affidavit that he knew nothing about Georgia cheating.

                • It was all lies.

                  • I don’t know if it is or isn’t. But he is not a witness I put any stock in. He has been disciplined, fired or forced to resign from every job he has had for ethics. Hitting players, children out of wedlock from extra marital affairs that he abandoned, he famously head-butted a player, and a few rumors that he used HS athletic department funds to pay HS players, and this isn’t the first thing that he has had to eat his words on.

Here is his most recent firing:

On March 14, 2019, Propst was relieved of his duties as the high school's head football coach in a unanimous vote by the Colquitt County Board of Education.[35] His dismissal followed an investigation that determined he had violated the Code of Ethics for Educators for (1) legal compliance, (2) conduct with students, (3) honesty, and (4) public funds and property, including giving pills to students “on more than one occasion” and owing nearly $450,000 in delinquent federal and state taxes.[36] The PSC investigation into Propst (case 19-2-1025) was settled with a 131 day suspension.[37]
Now, he is suspended (“on administrative leave”) from his current HS for undisclosed reasons:

The Georgia Professional Standards Commission confirmed Thursday it has received a formal complaint from Valdosta City Schools regarding Propst.

But the PSC would not provide details on the case.
He is actually a great HS coach, but as a witness? Yeah, no.

                            • And subsequently losing Primo hurt our NCAA tournament chances. Been snake bit with injuries this year.
