Can I ask Romster, who was Cosmo? Was that another cat? The reason I ask...., we have 4 cats here....., well they are the wifes cats really....., to me they are obstructions that I trip over......, but two of these cats, Millie & Jess are sisters and unbelievably close. I sometimes wonder what would happen to one or the other if one of them decided to look for bus chassis numbers. Do cats get lonely like dogs?

Yeah, Cosmo was my other cat who I had to euthanize back in December. I wrote a tribute to him in this thread (with 3 misspelled words, yes I'm anal). He was old - about 19.
I am definitely a cat person. I love all animals including dogs which I always had growing up but they were my Dad's dogs and I kind of saw them the way you see cats. I love how excited they are to see me and they are cool creatures. So much emotion in their eyes. And when I see them out on walks in my neighborhood they always look so happy which makes me smile.... But meh, I like to pet them and move on. No slober and smelly hands please. Heh.
But cats...I just feel a connection to those creatures.
To answer your question, I don't think they are quite like dogs in getting loney but it depends on the cat. Cosmo loved everyone - people and animals alike. He liked to hang out with whoever was around. So I got Aiko to keep him company while I was working. But Aiko is a loner who didn't pay much attention to Cosmo and hasn't seemed bummed about him being gone. He acted weird for one night and that was it."And I'm a million different people from one day to the next..."Comment

I lost my ass this weekend at the casino. We went toi Hot Springs for our arriversary to play the ponies and punch the electronic one armed bandits, and spend way too much time doing the latter. However...
