we are all volunteer.. however the city of Manistee has incorporated the police to augment the fire dept because they had only 5 full time fire/emt and would have to call us for assistance for any structure fire, and they still do use us for mutual aid.. works out well for the city and our township.. we can bring 24 people to a fire.. my old addage is the more the merrier when it comes to a structure fire.. you can rotate people in a house and not have people go down because of fatigue.If you keep shootin, you can turn any piece of meat into burgerComment
