There was a good 60 Minutes tonight called "breakthrough status". It is a two-part report on using the polio virus to break down the "shield" that brain cancer, and indeed all cancer, has. A genetically altered form of the virus hunts down cancer, attaches to it, and infects the cancer. That causes the immune system to attack the cancer vigorously. Is that the work being done out of Seattle? If not very similar to what I've read about a group of doctors in Seattle trying to use viruses to trick the body into attacking cancer. Early tests had survival of stage 4 cancer patients at three times the normal rate. I forget what cancer type they were running the trials but very encouraging results

Btw.... Earlier we discussed airlines and degrading service. I'm on a United flight this morning that is 1.5 hrs delayed due to unavailability of the crew. They have the crews scheduled at levels that don't reflect reality.
