Izzo is like the #1 main culprit of this, his team was whipping UCLA in the first half by moving the ball around the perimeter and shooting the three. Especially with Beilein gone the conference is looking uniformly dinosaurish, but the thing with the conference IMO is the parity. The top teams don't often measure up to the top teams in the B12 or ACC, but the worst of the B1G are often said to be much better than the worst teams in those conferences. Dunno if that's true, TBH. Penn State certainly seems like it would win more in another conference, and probably Minnesota too. Nebraska and Northwestern maybe not.
Recruiting also an issue. Boakye has just committed to ASU. Extended misery for Illinois fans I guess.Comment
