Yeah it would be good if he gets a shot at the big time in the NFL. I'd like to see him finish the rebuild first, but I wouldn't begrudge him if he got a shot. The NFL is what every coach should be shooting for. If he left, the Spartans can pay big for the next coach.

Yeah. Just make sure that he’s not backfilled by Fickell. Fortunately, I think that his stock is more than high enough to get a Destination job or maybe even an NFL job. I wonder what will come open this year in college that would be worth a move for him.

Fickell is an excellent coach, but something tells me that his success won’t travel outside the B1G footprint in college. That would limit his Destination jobs to PSU, ND, UM, and OSU. Unless LSU or USC go after him.
