  • I imagine he and the Urban Myth will get along swimmingly .... especially if JH manages to rain on Meyer's parade in Ann Arbor in November....

    • I do agree that UFM has achieved mythological status. Harbaugh. Heh. I'm well and truly happy with what Ohio State has. When (if) UFM loses a regular season B10 game, heh, I'll start to worry.

      • We still need to land him but if we do, there is a new irrefutable rockstar in CFB.

Harbaugh has kicked-ass at every level.

At the moment, Harbaugh is 43-18-1 as an NFL coach, with two division titles, two losses in the NFC Championship Game and one loss in the Super Bowl in four years!

As for these jokers, Meyer & Saban have had success at the Kiddie Table but that is it.

Saban was a grotesque failure in the NFL having never made the playoffs in his brief career and of course slimmed his way out of Miami just ahead of the lynch mob, proclaiming as he bravely ran away, "I was against the job in Tuscaloosa before I was for it".

In fairness to Meyer he has never thrown his hat in the ring but taking the OSU job rather than joining the big boys suggests to me he knows his limitations.

        • I sounded like this after Rodriguez was hired bringing unjustifiable enthusiasm before he had played one game in the Big House.

          Crushingly disappointing from day one.

          I've learned.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. JH chased Saban from Alabama and caused Day, at the point of the OSU AD's gun, to make major changes to his staff just to beat Michigan. Love it. It's Moore!!!! time

JH has more sweet moves than Tony Manero!

            • Meyer has taken full advantage of Michigan's demise, there's no doubting that. As has Dantonio. Both of them need to face some real competition in the conference, and they'll get that if JH comes aboard at Michigan. There's no doubting that either.

If you don't mind me asking, what source do you use for your bets? My site(a mom/pop shop) got shut down. You mind giving me the details and if it's a good one?

                  • I have a registered account at 5dimes. In terms of the key question -- yes, I've been able to get paid from them! However, I haven't been actively wagering in the past two years, so I can't vouch for them recently. Functionally, it's a super easy website to get around, their soccer board is tops, their alternative sports board is great and they occasionally used to offer High School football (TV games) -- I probably made 50% of my money killing Ohio HS games...so little was wagering on them that we'd move the line 10 points with $700 of action. Pardon the aside.

The best feature 5D has is reduced juice wagering. If you opt for that (I think you get to choose from different options) then all major sports (including soccer!) are based off -105 juice. So, you'll typically see -103/-107 or the like. They also have lots of easy ways to beat bigger numbers...bet up the line a little for +200 or something.

The only thing that was sketchy for me was deposits. They have "Visa Processor" but sometimes that didn't work for me and I had to do a Western Union deposit, which was a bit of a pain.

I've also used Bookmaker and would take 5D all day. Here's the single-best website for figuring out which financial investment service to use: http://www.sportsbookreview.com/

That website also has a great live odds page that updates every 10s or so: http://www.sportsbookreview.com/betting-odds/

                    • Number of players on Ohio State's roster that would start for UAT: 1. Joey Bosa. And he would see diminished time in a deep rotation.

Number of players on UAT's roster that would start for OSU: 85.

Someone ought to film the UAT 1st Team vs UAT Scout Team to have that ready to roll when this game gets out of hand.

                      I'm beginning to lose faith.

                      • You know what? I believe it. You people are such dyed-in-the-wool cheaters that you actually WOULD try to start 85 of someone else's players.

TOSUC has a ton of talent. On offense: Pat Elflein, Taylor Decker, Jeff Heuerman, Devin Smith (imagine him or Evan Spencer and Amari Cooper on the same team) and Darryl Baldwin would start.

On defense, Bosa and Doran Grant definitely, and Curtis Grant, Bennett, Joshua Perry, Tyvis Powell and Vonn Bell probably.

Also, TOSUC. Has that caught on here as the approved 'The Ohio State University Columbus' abbreviation?

                          • I gotta admit it -- TOSUC is pretty damn good. We've struggled here with terminology. Many of us, myself included, used the term of our last coach on this one. That hasn't turned out too well for us.

                            • Evan Spencer is a hard as nails blocker with almost zero separation ability. Heuerman and Smith are both solid. Decker is good, too.

Curtis Grant would not start ahead of TD in a million years. Bennett may get time in the DL rotation. Bell would get time. Tyvis Powell is a tackle-missing machine. Darron Lee is a much better player, but still probably not good enough to start.

So, perhaps Decker, Heuerman and Smith could make the two-deep on offense. Bosa would start and Doran Grant and Bell would see time in the secondary. Actually, Doran Grant would probably start. Bennett may rotate.

In any event, I'm having a hard time seeing how UAT wins this thing anything less than 4 TDs.
