  • Trump was targeting two Reps in South Carolina for destruction.

Tom Rice, who voted for impeachment, has been bounced from Congress.

Nancy Mace held on. Probably only because her district is more of a swing district centered around Charleston. Was represented by a Dem from 2018-2020. That Dem (Joe Cunningham) beat the same woman Mace beat last night.

    • Rice, as an incumbent, got slightly less than a quarter of the vote.

Another gutless backstabber whose only goal in life is to be buddies with his enemies has been purged from the Republican party.

You believe a "good conservative" is anyone who obeys, totally and completely, the designated leader. In this case, the pathetic slug Trump

Actual beliefs are irrelevant. Voting record is irrelevant. All that matters is total, unthinking loyalty to Dear Leader.

          • Voting to impeach the first politician in your career to begin a significant pushback against the Left is part of the voting record, and easily the most important. You never see Democrats abandon their leaders. It's why they have been winning year in, year out, even when they lose elections. When the chips were down, Rice did what every Cuck has done in the party -- shit on his constituency for Liberal media brownie points. It's a loser strategy that does nothing but ensure that you are on the permanent losing side of every political battle. The Republican Party is on a slow journey to reawaken itself after over 20 years of total irrelevance in the national agenda.

            • Hanni makes a great point. With the exception of Joe Manchin and to a lesser degree Kyrsten Sinema, the Democrats walk lock step with the extremes in both sides of their party. They never reel in idiots like AOC and "the squad", and they never totally forsake The Chairman. Even AOC said yesterday that she felt The Chairman was 'doing a great job'. So party unity, while entertaining at times, always seems to come around for The Party.

However, there are Republicans who itch for the day when they can break ranks with their own, and compromise with The Party. Susan Collins, Barbara Murkowski, Mitt Romney, .. they LONG for the day when they can be on the same page with so-called Democratic "moderates". But, as we've seen, with the exception of the only adult in the room (Manchin) moderates are in short supply in The Party. At the end of the day, they'll support "BBB" "The Green New Deal" and other idiotic nonsense that hurts the average American .

There used to be more moderates in the Dem Party that you've likely never heard of. A lot of them got voted out in 2020 and they're the ones that'll bear the brunt of any red tide in 2022. It's the moderates, from either party, who are always the big losers when control of Congress changes power from one side to the other. AOC ain't in any danger. It's people like Seth Moulton and Abigail Spanberger

Conservative political philosophy celebrates the individual and individual freedoms. Liberal political values looks a lot more fondly on collective action. Without overstating that difference, I have to believe it matters at least a little bit when it comes to "sticking together". And I've said before that liberals are better sticking together IN PUBLIC. Behind closed doors I'm 100% confident there's an enormous amount of anger and griping right now about Biden.

We get back to the same old question. Name any Biden administration policy that has been successful.

                  • Biden sold out. It ain't complicated. Of course he's been selling out for much of his 50 years in politics so why is this suprising to anyone? The guy has no bedrock stance on anything...he is a fucking puppet. Even let his crack head son whip him around. He's a fucking weasel. The Dems problem is they have nothing right now. The administration is full of incompetent ideologues...and the field of potential candidates is non-existent. Joe Manchin might be the only D that could win the WH in that party...hell he's a guy I could vote for...but alas never happen with this shitshow of a DNC...

I'm not sure Mayra Flores or "Latinx" folks have quite got the message that they're "brown people" who need to understand that them white progressive elites are the ones looking out for them.

Well, it all depends on who is running as the R, but yes. The Ds are currently in a situation where an 82-year old Chairman running for re-election doesn't look so bad in comparison to the alternative -- an utter political incompetent with all the personal charm of Hillary Clinton.

                          • The Chairman's speech in Philly was classic Prog...to labor...lol...

"Do you remember when our economy was like — what it looked like before we took office? Three thousand Americans were dying every day from COVID. Twenty million Americans had lost their jobs under the last guy.

In fact, so many Americans lost their jobs that my predecessor became just the second President in history to leave office with fewer jobs in America than when he took office. But you stepped up. The other one, by the way, was Herbert Hoover.

And just remember — remember those long lines of cars stretching miles back, waiting for just a box of food to be put back in their trunk? It wasn’t just poor folk, it was working-class folk, it was middle-class folks. A lot of pretty nice cars in those lines.

And while it was going on, America created more than — more billionaires during that crisis in 2020 than any year in history. Talk about a contrast.

Ordinary people getting — waiting in line for an hour for a box of food. And the policies in the past created more billionaires than ever in American history.

Folks, it’s hard to believe, but it’s true. That’s what we inherited.

And then, with your help, we went to work with an economic vision that looks out from Scranton, Pennsylvania — hardworking towns like it all across America — not down from Wall Street.

Wall Street didn’t build this country, the middle class built this country. And unions built the middle class."

                              • Recall elections are easier to win because an unpopular politician is running against "anyone but them". When you actually have to choose between just two people the decision gets harder. So yeah, Biden versus The Field makes it seem like he has no chance. But Biden vs Trump and the old man at least has a shot.

But I cannot foresee him running again and that'll be even more obvious after the midterms. Jill needs to tap him on the shoulder and say time to go. And from everything I read there will be absolutely NO deference to Harris.
