Lots of other places. The latter two are, of course, based on the IRS data. Whatever. My time wasting is done.

                      • None of that supports your various assertions. Much harder to untangle your posts on anything law related, which is fair enough. But this is an area in which you don't seem to know much, or how to bluff.

                            • For those able to read and possessed of the slightest bit of intellectual honesty:

I think that's a great starting point. And the data is remarkable -- the share of the incomes taxes paid by the top 1% increased significantly over the course of Reagan's administration as he persistently slashed the top rate down to something sensible.
                              Supported.

And, of course, the US already has a strongly progressive tax system. Those households making $150,000 or more (top20%) will pay 87% of income tax (while accounting for 52% of income). The bottom 60% ($87,000 or less) will receive about 27% of the income and pay 0% of the taxes (net).
Directly supported -- almost a quote.

Supported. The ratio of taxes paid by the top 1% or 5% or 10% to the bottom 50% is higher than ever, at least for years with available IRS data. Certainly way higher than Reagan. The missing piece is welfare benefits paid. It's largely flat as a percentage of GDP since 1980 with a few peaks (2010, e.g.). So, increasingly disparate shares of income taxes paid means most redistributive. Supported.

Doesn't take much to see that. May disagree with it or think it's all irrelevant or just want to suck Piketty's cock, but it doesn't take much rigor to understand. Just honesty.

Correct. And I'm done. I eagerly look forward to chastisment -- post better, behave better, you pretend this, etc. We all know the pseudo-intellectually haughty schtick. It's a classic.
