    • Roberts is extremely selective with his strict adherence to doing things "the right way" and with his technicalities.

      • It's probably time to ditch the term "Conservative" altogether. Conservatives haven't conserved jack shit and being a Conservative now just means that you agree with Democrats from 10-15 years ago.

        • There is plenty that is right going on in 100s of US cities.
There is plenty that is right going on the United States. But that's certainly not how it's covered. So, look, the shit is hitting the fan in the cities. Democrats run the cities. I don't need much more.

Tim Scott said it best the other day -- the United States is not a racist country, but some racists live in the United States. But the left wants to burn it all down and rebuild a socialist utopia (and believe me, that's what this is about -- look at at the platform BLM endorsed in 2016). Right now they're fundamentally sticking with non-specific "end police brutality" stuff. Ok. But, along they way they're asking, nay, tell you that the US is a racist country. And once you accept that in the this ethereal, general context the specific proposals come at you fast and furious and you're either for change or you're for the continuation of a racist country.

I happen to think the US is flawed but, by far and away, the closest thing to the city on the hill type country we've ever seen. And we're going to tear that all down. It starts with tearing down the "myths" of the US -- Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln (and that's what the 1619 Project is ALL about). And that starts in the elite insitutions -- in colleges. And it filters down to the HS. And before you know it, kids are taught that the US is exceptional only its cruelty and disregard for non-white males. Once you do that you can move on to policy. They're nearing the policy stage.

          • BLM says themselves on their webpage that one of their goals is to "disrupt the Western nuclear family".

And every major celebrity save a few heretics, 90% of Corporate America, 99.9% of academia, and about 90% of televised and print media are enthusiastically on board.

              • You guys are world class pearl clutchers. Do you practice your swooning in front of a mirror?

One side labels Republicans as intolerant, money worshipping neo-nazis, intent on inflicting their twisted moralilty on the masses by legislating from the bench.

The other side labels Democrats as intolerant, thin skinned, Godless commies, intent on bringing down Western civilization by forcing cradle to grave care and unlimited free money.

Perhaps if we looked deep inside ourselves instead of being more concerned about labeling others that don't agree with us, we wouldn't have half the problems today.

I don't see it that way and I'm disappointed you (and Hanni) do. The US has been through full blown anarchy in the Civil War, Watts, Detroit, and now George Floyd and the rest with faux anarchy surrounding it driven by a limited number of committed extremists, the impact of their actions out-sized by a willing press. The Republic still stands and will stand post Floyd.

I don't have any illusions about the dangers of the left so count me in agreement with most of what you post here about that, less so in Hanni's case - a bit extreme - and now you're climbing on board with that it seems to me. Maybe I'm wrong.

Regardless, I see the dangers of the tinder of the disaffected and unemployed, the socioeconomically disadvantaged being ignited by extremists on the left as a threat but not one that is likely to realize it's objectives as you and Hanni describe them. That's because I'm an optimist, except when it comes to M football, and believe that the full range of powers, born of the clear thinking of our forefathers, and inherent in America's institutions will do this: relegate the historical accounts of the shit-storm were witnessing presently to the shelves of libraries and digital archives. Just another set of books chronicalling why such things happen but always fail to achieve the downfall of the Republic and what it represents.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. JH chased Saban from Alabama and caused Day, at the point of the OSU AD's gun, to make major changes to his staff just to beat Michigan. Love it. It's Moore!!!! time

Welcome to Obama's America. Who needs cops anyway?

Literally at this exact time a tweet was posted, although he may have simply been giving his lick-spittle Scavino the "okay" to post. The woman speaking really has his full attention, don't let anyone fool you.

Woman torches police vehicles, gets tracked down via her tattoo and etsy T-shirt purchase.
