It's not as if there's anybody on the D side with the deprativty to either a) act like Trump or b) support him from a position of power in Congress by being as thoroughly corrupt as McConnell and Ryan. Al Franken's the test case there. The Ds didn't even have the capacity to shout and bluster through a minor faked scandal like that. They turned on Franken almost immediately. There's no way they could support a Trump-like D were there any real and substantive allegations. I don't think there's any basis in continuing to argue that both sides are of the same coin. They're both for sale, but that's just like saying that hot dogs and a New York strip are the same thing because they are both made of beef.Comment

Most of the winners in the Big Blue Wave were incredibly bland, the reason AOC rents space in the GOP's head is she fairly unique in that she's quotable. Besides Trump is like a unicorn, there's nobody who can act like this dude. He's like a special case cultivated over 30 years and he's fooled a lot of people.
