Reportedly from the Liviv mayor, three power substations were damaged and two water-pumping stations were left inoperable. The power stations were near railroad tracks. Liviv doesn't see a lot of bombardment but it has increased in recent weeks - one or two missiles at a time hit home. Some fail, some are intercepted by air defenses.

These that hit Liviv are more likely to be advanced cruise missiles of the KH55-SM type with a range of up to 3000 kms and are believed to have originated from the Caspian Sea on the east side of Georgia. It's a haul from there to Liviv (about 2500 km) but it also protects the Tupolov long range bombers from any engagement with the Ukrainian air defenses.

It's been observed that older versions of Russia's cruise missiles have high failure rates and poor accuracy. From what is known about the KH55 series they are more reliable and accurate. They also fly very low to avoid detection and engagement by air defense systems and Ukraine has been bagging the older versions.

I have no doubt there is signaling going on here from the Kremlin with the firing of these. The KH55s can carry a big conventional war head 200KTs as well as a nuclear war head and it's range indicates that it can reach into countries on NATO's eastern flank fired safely from far away.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. JH chased Saban from Alabama and caused Day, at the point of the OSU AD's gun, to make major changes to his staff just to beat Michigan. Love it. It's Moore!!!! time

    • Putin was on the phone with Macron for over 2 hours again today. Seems likely shortly after they hung about, a barrage of cruise missiles went out.

Israel will now help supply "some" equipment to Ukraine. Russia has really fucked up their relationship with them

It's pretty obvious to me that this was done to give the Left time to organize some George Floyd funerals before the decision is officially announced.

        • I still lean towards liberal clerk but the idea a conservative could have done it is a possibility too. This draft was written and sent around in mid-February. Almost 3 months ago now. If the liberals just wanted more time to riot, as Hanni argues, they could've leaked it a while ago.

The timing is such that they were probably in the middle of the what I'll call the negotiating phase. Concurrences or dissents were just finishing up and people who voted with Alito were asking for changes to language that they didn't like. Opinions get tweaked all the time to get everyone on board. If someone's the 5th vote (Kav or ACB both could have been) they have a lot of power to request alterations.

What is the impact of having this leak RIGHT NOW? If anything is changed from Alito's original draft it will now at least APPEAR to have been made to cave to the mob, to bow to public opinion, to bend the knee to wokeness. So anyone who wants Alito's draft to be the final word and law of the land has a big incentive to kill any further revisions immediately.

There's an entire conservative legal movement committed to reversing Roe that's produced tens of thousands of good minds and devotees and suddenly, at the last minute, when it looks like at long last Roe is about to be completely reversed, that wimpy fucker Kavanaugh has a change of heart and is talking with Roberts about a different opinion. Yeah, there are probably a few conservative clerks or staffers fanatical to leak after that.

It is definitely not outside the realm of possibility.

          • DSL, you are the only one of the crazies to think that is possible.

Williamson has it right in NR. This whole process is a model of a movement that adhered to American political methods and the American legal system to overturn a totally erroneous decision handed down by an activist court. The Right to Life movement will continue to try to overturn abortion at the state level now, and that is the proper political way to handle it. IMO, in the privacy of the voting booth, voters will curtail convenience abortions after the first trimester.

If Roe is indeed overturned, it will go down as a model example of democratic political activism.

            • Those ultra-liberal woke pussy CRT-lovers on the Wall Street Journal editorial board are at it again, criticizing the proud patriots who are keeping alive the possibility of rescinding the 2020 Wisconsin vote and awarding the election to Donald J. Trump. President Trump is properly ripping them a new one, as he knows the 2020 election is the number one issue on any Real American's mind.

              • Alito himself leaked it to show he is Johnnie Big Balls.

The Right to Life movement isn't going to be content to let every state do things its own way. As several people have pointed out, the majority of abortions occur in states that aren't likely to outlaw it completely. The next step for the Pro-Life movement, therefore, is attempting to pass a national law.

I know that in Missouri they were considering a law that would make it a crime for any resident of Missouri to travel outside the state to have an abortion. I don't know the legality of such a law, but the pro-lifers will absolutely attempt to pass laws like that.

                        • Not sure how long ago Brimelow was fired by NRO. I do know The Chairman is wants to hire a person to head up his Ministry of Truth that labeled the Hunter laptop story as Russian disinformation.

                          LOL.

I think JD Mandel would probably beat The Chairman by 8 points nationally. Not sure, though, of his fate in Ohio.

                            • Meanwhile, as correctly predicted, everyone on the Left is labeling the seemingly inevitable overturning of Roe as anti-democratic or some variation thereof. The illiteracy is shocking but, again, easily predictable.

                              • Heh. A hedge fund manager who lived around New York City for the past 15 years and whose single claim to fame is writing a book about how much contempt he has for rural Ohio is about to be our next Senator, folks, because he found Jesus (Trump) and is a populist now! That or maybe the sex weirdo who married a millionaire then got a mysterious, secret divorce will finally win a race! It's very exciting!

                                Let's go, Dolan!
