As usual, we're hearing "dire news" of a new strain of SARS-CoV-2 that has emerged in GB. Mutations are normal and to be expected in viruses. The H1N1 Influenza virus mutates and the flu vaccine requires adjustments for them every flu season. There is not currently causitive evidence that the new strain is responsible for increased transmission or disease severity, as has been alleged by the lay press. So, no, the world's human population is not going to be wiped out by this variant of SAR-CoV-2.
The new variant has mutations to the spike protein that the three leading vaccines are targeting. However, vaccines produce antibodies against many regions in the spike protein, so it’s unlikely that a single change would make the vaccine less effective.
Over time, as more mutations occur, the vaccine may need to be altered. This happens with seasonal flu, which mutates every year, and the vaccine is adjusted accordingly. The SARS-CoV-2 virus doesn’t mutate as quickly as the flu virus, and the vaccines that have so far proved effective in trials are types that can easily be tweaked if necessary.

This is insane.
Trump had Sidney Powell in the Oval Office last night and discussed making her a Special Counsel investigating election fraud. This would be one of the most insane things Trump might do.
Pat Cipillone spoke against it. Mark Meadows spoke against it. Even Giuliani spoke against it. Powell called them "quitters".
But Giuliani also said Trump should order DHS to "seize" voting machines in various states. DHS has already said they have absolutely no authority to do something like that.
Fuckface Michael Flynn was also there to argue for Trump imposing martial law on specific states, which other people in the room vigorously argued against.
