If you want a good documentary to watch on HBO, try "50 Children". It's only about an hour long and while it has a bit of a "Schindler's List" theme, it is true, well-done, inspiring, and in a couple of places, tear-jerking. In other words, it packs a lot in that 1-hour run time. Alan Alda narrates.

Also, a Jewish friend of mine recommended I watch Amazon Prime's original series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. If you like irreverent, potty-mouthed Jewish humor this is a hilarious series of which the 3rd season is about to be aired. It is a golden globe winner. I binged watched 1.5 of the first two seasons this weekend. Possibly the best part of this series is the character development. Fantastic. The production is also excellent. Have a look ..... it's a little slow to start but will get you caught up in the plot and the lives of the characters quickly.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. The US has a long history of fucked up, knee jerk interventionism in Latin America and Cuba. However, the Trump administration's approach may be a bit more substantive and focused on assisting groups and factions within governments unfavorably disposed to the US with those more favorably disposed. The situation in Venezuela (Madurao v. Guaido) is a perfect example of this. There's ample evidence that governments and leaders who align themselves with the Cuban regime get substantial military support from Cuba. Until I visited Havana this month and started getting interested, I had no idea how substantial and well equipped the Cuban military is.
I don't think there is any question that the instability in this region, the economic disaster wrought by decades of Communist and Socialist government presence there, is an underlying cause of the flood of Latin American immigrants seeking safety and better economic conditions in the US. So, the Trump administrations approach makes sense. See the link below:
